Established in 2020 in Boksburg, Johannesburg, South Africa as a vegetable establishment that is 100% woman owned. Our mission and vision have not changed— with our expertise, we have grown into a formidable horticultural African brand. Based in Witbank, Mpumalanga - we have now grown into mastering horticulture, partnering with communities to grow urban smart farms by providing fresh, quality wholesome fish (tilapia) and leafy greens in a sustainable manner. We provide brand collaboration, community awareness, horticulture and smart farming consultancy.
Aquaponics is a sustainable farming method that combines aquaculture (fish farming) with hydroponics (soilless plant cultivation). In our system, the waste produced by fish is converted into nutrients for plants, which in turn help purify the water that is then recirculated back to the fish tanks. To enhance the sustainability of aquaponics, House Harvest incorporate black soldier flies as a natural and nutrient-rich fish feed source. This integration minimizes waste and contributes to a more balanced and efficient ecosystem within our aquaponic setup
